[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Kakao Pay acquires 'Paymint', which provides mobile simple payment solutions.

According to the PinTech industry on the 1st, Kakao Pay plans to acquire a stake in Paymint and incorporate it as a subsidiary.

Paymint was founded in 2014 as a company that provides payment solutions and services. We are operating a mobile billing service called "Payment Teacher" and as of the end of June this year, the cumulative number of franchises exceeded 40,000.

Through this acquisition, Kakao Pay is expected to expand its business around merchants owned by Paymint.
