According to the industry on the 4th, Hyundai Mipo Dockyard is considering changing its name recently. The most likely candidate name is 'HD Hyundai Mipo'.

The predecessor of Hyundai Mipo Dockyard is Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, which was established in 1975 jointly by Hyundai Heavy Industries and Kawasaki Heavy Industries of Japan. The company changed its name to Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in 1994, which is the first change in about 30 years if a new signboard is put up this time.

To this end, Hyundai Mipo Dockyard recently applied for HD Hyundai Mipo trade registration. Mutual registration is a system that preempts to select and preserve a company name. The period until the main registration is May 17 next year, and the board of directors will decide on a new mission by voting to change the articles of association, including the change of mission.

HD Hyundai Group changed its name from Hyundai Heavy Industries Group to HD Hyundai in February last year, and its affiliates are also using 'HD' to give unity to their mission.
