Ray Chang, CEO of China's shopping app Ali Express, answered this when asked about investment in Korea at a press conference held at the Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul on 6th.

If the construction of the logistics center becomes a reality, Ali Express, which offered "delivery within five days of all products," is expected to have a shorter delivery period and increase price competitiveness. Regarding the acquisition of 11th Street, which was mentioned as a way to advance directly into Korea, he drew a line, saying, "I have no plans."

Ali Express said it will start a "Project Clean" that will invest 10 billion won over three years to quell the controversy over "fake goods." This seems to be due to the fact that Ali Express has been criticized for damaging producers by selling copied products of Korean companies.

"We will refund 100% of the products within 90 days if they are suspected of being fake," CEO Jang said. "We guarantee a 100% refund without the need for proof documents."

It also said it will use artificial intelligence (AI) to compare sales names, photos, logos and prices, introduce a system to identify fake goods, and close the seller's account if they sell fake goods.
