[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] SK Hynix has established 'AI Infrastructure (Infra)', a dedicated organization to strengthen the competitiveness of high bandwidth memory (HBM) business, a high value-added product.

After reporting to the board of directors on July 7, SK Hynix reorganized its organization and appointed executives in 2024. The company said it has established an AI Infra organization, "We want to strengthen AI technology competitiveness and lead innovation that meets customer needs and trends."

Under the AI Infra organization, there is a new 'AI & Next' organization to discover new AI markets, including 'HBM Business', which combines scattered HBM capabilities and functions and next-generation HBM. Also, the GSM organization, which was previously responsible for communicating with HBM customers, was included in the AI Infra organization.

Vice President Kim will be in charge of AI Infra. Vice president Kim is in charge of GSM I was promoted this time, and I was responsible for the HBM business, the most important food for the company.
