[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Samsung Electronics has deployed over 400 semiconductor ace employees to supply next-generation high bandwidth memory (HBM) to Nvidia.
According to industry sources on the 7th, Samsung Electronics has recently organized a task force (TF) of about 100 people to supply its 'HBM3E 12-stack' product, which boasts the highest performance among existing HBMs, to Nvidia in the third quarter.
The first goal is to pass Nvidia's quality certification tests this month. The remaining 300 or so employees have been assigned to the HBM4 development team.
