[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The prices of gasoline and diesel sold at domestic gas stations fell for nine consecutive weeks.
According to the Korea National Oil Corporation's oil information system Opinet on the 11th, gasoline sales at gas stations nationwide averaged 1626.6 won per liter (L), down 14.7 won from the previous week.
Seoul, the nation's highest-priced region, fell 16.3 won to 1710.3 won and Daegu, the lowest price, fell 12.8 won to 1573.6 won, respectively.
By brand, GS Caltex's gas station was the highest at KRW 1633.9 per L. The thrifty gas station was the lowest at 1602.8 won. Diesel sales fell 21.2 won from the previous week to 1563.8 won.
Domestic petroleum prices are expected to remain weak until the end of the year. It takes two to three weeks for international oil prices to be reflected in domestic prices, as international oil prices have recently fallen. Dubai oil, based on imported crude oil prices, fell $ 5.4 from the previous week to $ 77.3 a barrel. International gasoline prices fell $ 5.0 to $ 86.6 and diesel for automobiles fell $ 5.0 to $ 99.3.
