[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] OCIM, a Malaysian subsidiary of OCI Holdings, will supply solar polysilicon worth $1 billion (1.3 trillion won) to US solar energy company Cubic PV.
OCIM and Cubic will hold a signing ceremony in Massachusetts on the 18th (local time), and OCIM will supply $1 billion in solar polysilicon for eight years from 2025 to 2033. This contract is the first large-scale supply contract for solar polysilicon since the human division in May.
OCIM is currently producing 30,000 5000t worth of low-carbon solar polysilicon annually through Malaysia's eco-friendly hydroelectric power generation. Through this contract with Cubic, OCIM reaffirmed global market confidence in stable supply capacity and high-quality product production capacity and secured additional stable distributors.
