KEPCO will receive 3.2 trillion won in interim dividends from its subsidiaries

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] KEPCO, which has more than 200 trillion won in debt, has secured an interim dividend of 3.2 trillion won from its subsidiaries.
According to industry sources on the 2nd, six power generation companies, including Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Korea East-West Power Co., Korea South-East Power Co., Korea Southern Power Co., Korea Midland Power Co. and Korea Western Power Co., and KEPCO KDN held a board meeting from the 22nd to 29th of last month to vote on KEPCO's interim dividend plan.
With a total of 3.2 trillion won, KHNP will pay the largest interim dividend of 1.56 trillion won. Five thermal power subsidiaries, including Korea East-West Power Co., will then pay KRW 1.48 trillion and KEPCO KDN will pay KRW 160 billion in interim dividends. The actual execution is expected to take place during the first half of this year.
