[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Kim Bum-soo, founder of Kakao and chairman of the management reform committee, will return to the front of the group's management. It has decided to reorganize the control tower within the organization and co-chair with Chung Shin-ah, the nominee for CEO of Kakao.
Kakao said on the 2nd that it will hold a meeting with Chairman Kim and CEOs of 13 affiliates of the agreement and form a new CA (Corporate Alignment) consultative body. The CA Council is an independent organization that coordinates and forms a consensus within the Kakao Group.
The new CA council will be co-chaired by Chairman Kim and nominee Chung. Kakao explained that it is to accelerate the change from the existing autonomous management stance to the new Kakao.
After stepping down from the management front in March last year, Chairman Kim has served as chairman of Kakao's management reform committee since November of the same year as various judicial risks spread throughout the group. However, with the reorganization of the consultative body, Chairman Kim is expected to play a role in enhancing the central power of management by engaging in issues by affiliates beyond short-term reforms.
