[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] KB Kookmin Bank, which won the right to enter Incheon International Airport for the first time in 10 years since 2014, will begin full-fledged operations on the 8th.

KB Kookmin Bank took the first business right in the bid for the Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 and 2 Bank and Currency Exchange Operation Project in October. With this business right, Kookmin Bank will operate branches in the western area of the second basement floor of Passenger Terminal 1 (T1) and Passenger Terminal 2 (T2), which have the best accessibility for customers.

Woori Bank, which acquired the second business right, operates on the east side of the T1 and T2 basement floors, while Hana Bank, which took the third business right, operates in the center of the T1 2 floor and the east side of the T2 basement floor. They can operate the store until 2030 and can be extended up to three years.

Kookmin Bank won the first business right by writing a bid of 70.9 billion won, well above the lowest acceptance amount of the first year (15 billion won) offered by Incheon International Airport.

Kookmin Bank plans to operate two branches, 11 currency exchanges and ATM 15s.
