Kakao founder Kim Bum-soo resigned as director of Brian Impact

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Kim Bum-soo, founder of Kakao, resigned from the board of directors of Brian Impact, a social contribution foundation created after him.
According to Brian Impact on the 14th, founder Kim resigned from the board of directors of the Brian Impact Foundation in November last year. Kim founded Brian Impact in June 2021 and headed the board. He then resigned as chairman of the foundation in May of the following year and continued to serve as board member.
Since founder Kim, Brian Impact is the CEO of Bearbetter and the general manager of management support at CA Council of Kakao. The board of directors consists of actor Lee Yoon-mi, Dr. Jung Hye-shin, a psychiatrist, and Lee Kyung-ho, a lawyer at the law firm The Ham.
"The decision was made to focus on actively resolving the recent series of issues related to Kakao as a founder," a Brian Impact official said. "Kim will delegate the operation of the foundation to the board of directors and continue his role as a supporter."
