[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] POSCO International said it has won an order for Hyundai-Kia Motors to install 1.03 million units of Drive-Motercore, which will be installed in electric vehicles (Celltos-class) to be produced locally for the first time in Europe from next year to 2034.
Drive Motor Korea will supply 550,000 units of Hyundai-Kia's Turkish plant and 480,000 units of its Slovakian plant via Hyundai Mobis' Slovakian power plant.
With this order, POSCO International, along with its subsidiary POSCO Mobility Solutions, has succeeded in supplying a total of 11.87 million units to Hyundai-Kia Motors over the past 15 months.
Plans to build a production plant in Poland will also gain momentum. POSCO International established an investment corporation to build a plant in Poland in June last year and promoted its drive-Motercore business in Europe.
