LG Innotek relocates Pyeongtaek plant, which produces motor for vehicles

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] LG Innotek relocates its Pyeongtaek plant, which produces vehicle motors.
On the 18th, LG Innotek decided to operate the Pyeongtaek plant by the end of this year, saying, "We will strengthen the competitiveness of the vehicle motor business." It has been six years since the factory was completed in 2018 and it has produced shift, braking and steering motors for vehicles.
The relocation site has not been confirmed. However, the development of vehicle motors will continue in Korea. No plans have been set to utilize the plant site in Pyeongtaek.
LG Innotek explained, "We are strategically reorganizing the production site to strengthen the competitiveness of the motor business for vehicles."
Previously, LG Innotek has relocated its camera module production facilities at its Yantai plant in China to its Haiphong plant in Vietnam, and the Yantai plant has started reorganizing its production base by focusing on motors for vehicles.
