[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Cheil Worldwide has decided to terminate its online shopping mall GETTT service in about three years.
According to the advertising industry on the 24th, Cheil Worldwide is scheduled to end its e-commerce GETTT service in March.
The advertising industry knocked on the market door to secure e-commerce operation experience as well as business diversification. The ambition was to present customized e-commerce-related marketing and advertising strategies to customers.
Cheil Worldwide introduced Get in October 2020 and sold designer brand clothing, accessories, electronics and furniture. GETTT stands for 'GET THE TASTE'.
The worsening consumer sentiment stemming from the economic downturn is cited as the main reason for the service's suspension. The fact that existing large companies are actually dominating online shopping has also been an obstacle to securing customers. In the end, it decided to terminate the service because it was not effective.
An Cheil Worldwide official said, "We do not plan to expand our own e-commerce platform at the moment," he said. "We are considering new businesses in various fields if necessary."
