[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] HJ Heavy Industries announced on the 25th that its operating profit turned into a deficit last year.
As a result of the company's own tally of last year's performance, it recorded sales of 2.1618 trillion won, operating loss of 108.4 billion won, and net loss of 111.3 billion won.
As a result, sales increased 20.9% year-on-year, but operating profit turned into a deficit and net loss increased by 61.1 billion won.
The company explained that "operating losses occurred due to the establishment of debt to cover construction losses due to rising cost rates."
