The market capitalization of secondary batteries fell 49 trillion won this year due to a series of declines

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] The secondary battery industry continued to weaken in the new year, with its market capitalization falling by nearly 50 trillion won.
According to the Korea Exchange on the 29th, the combined market capitalization of nine secondary battery stocks in the combined market capitalization in the securities and KOSDAQ markets decreased by 48.8859 trillion won from 308.6084 trillion won at the beginning of the year to 259.7224 trillion won on the 26th.
These stocks include LG Energy Solutions, POSCO Holdings, LG Chem, Samsung SDI, EcoProBM, POSCO FutureM, EcoPro, SK Innovation and EcoPromerty.
The market capitalization (oil price and KOSDAQ combined) has also been pushed out one after another. POSCO Holdings fell from 7th to 10th, POSCO Future M from 14th to 17th, SK Innovation from 23rd to 31st, and Eco-Promerty from 24th to 34th, respectively.
By group, POSCO and Ecopro Group, which are mainly engaged in battery materials and lithium businesses, were hit hard.
The combined market capitalization of POSCO Group's six listed companies (POSCO Holdings, POSCO Future M, POSCO International, POSCO DX, POSCO M-Tech and POSCO Steelion) decreased from 91.613 trillion won at the beginning of the year to 74.478 trillion won on the 26th. In about four weeks, it decreased by KRW 16.6 trillion.
The market capitalization of four EcoPro Group-listed companies (EcoPromerty, EcoProBM, EcoPro and EcoProHN) also evaporated more than 9 trillion won from 59.5368 trillion won at the beginning of the year to 50.727 trillion won on the 26th. On the 24th, Kakao Group's market capitalization was reversed.
During the same period, a number of secondary batteries and electric vehicle-related products were also listed on the Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) at the bottom of the fluctuation rate. Excluding leveraged products, "ACE POSCO Group Focus" (-21.35%), "ACE Tesla Balance Active" (-19.47%), "TIGER 2 Battery TOP10" (-19.08%) and "KODEX 2 Battery Core Material 10 Fn" (-18.26%) fell significantly.
