[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Hyundai Mobis said on the 29th that it won $9.22 billion (about 12.3 trillion won) last year for overseas automakers, including North America and Europe.

This is more than 72% of the original target of $ 5.36 billion (about 7.2 trillion won) and is the largest overseas order ever on an annual basis. It has nearly doubled from the previous largest overseas orders ($ 4.65 billion) in 2022.

Last year, orders for battery systems (BSA) worth trillions of won from German carmaker Volkswagen contributed greatly to Hyundai Mobis' overseas performance.

The BSA will be installed on the next-generation electric vehicle platform of the finished car, and Hyundai Mobis plans to establish a new production base for BSA in Spain and supply parts in a stable manner.
