[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] SK ON recorded an operating loss of 18.6 billion won in the fourth quarter of last year, reducing the deficit to the lowest ever.

SK Innovation announced on the 5th that its battery subsidiary SK On's operating loss last year was 581.8 billion won, down 45.8% from a year earlier. SK On's annual sales last year were 12.8972 trillion won, up 69.3% from the previous year.

Considering that SK On's cumulative sales in the first to third quarters of last year were 10.1741 trillion won and operating losses were 563.2 billion won, it recorded sales of 2.7231 trillion won and operating loss of 18.6 billion won in the fourth quarter.

SK On has continued to improve its profitability by reducing its deficit, posting an operating loss of 344.9 billion won in the first quarter of last year, followed by 132.2 billion won in the second quarter and 86.1 billion won in the third quarter.
