Korean Air announced on the 6th that it will increase its investment in the construction of an engine maintenance plant in Unbuk district, which is under construction in Unbuk-dong, Yeongjong-do, Incheon, from 334.6 billion won to 578 billion won. The investment period was also extended by one year to December 2027.
"We will increase the amount of investment and extend the investment period in consideration of the expansion of new facilities in consideration of increased orders due to increased business opportunities, the extension of the construction period, and increased construction costs due to rising labor and material costs," Korean Air said.
