[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Samsung Electronics has started developing AGI (General Artificial Intelligence) semiconductors.
According to the industry on the 21st, Samsung Electronics recently established an organization called 'AGI Computing Lab' in Silicon Valley, USA to make semiconductors dedicated to AGI.
Based on the development of semiconductors dedicated to AGI, it is interpreted as a willingness to preoccupy the fiercely competitive global AI market. AGI is an AI that has intelligence beyond human beings and can learn all situations.
The AGI Computing Lab is headed by Dr. Woo Dong-hyuk, a former Google TPU developer. Dr. Woo was one of the three who designed the TPU platform at Google.
The AGI Computing Lab is expanding its organization by posting job openings for key personnel such as senior developers of 'Microarchitecture' in the United States.
