[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] LS MnM is pushing for entry into the U.S. market through silver powder (Ag powder) and silver paste, which are materials for solar power generation. According to LS MnM's sustainability report released on the 11th, the company is considering expanding from the domestic solar power market to the U.S. market through technology and quality improvements in silver powder and silver paste.
Silver paste plays a crucial role in solar panels by conducting electricity externally. Silver powder is the raw material for silver paste.
LS MnM plans to integrate the production of silver powder and silver paste it currently produces to provide customers with a stable supply chain and expand its business with specialized technology. The company aims to launch and sell new products for domestic solar module companies such as Hanwha Q Cells to prepare for market entry. To achieve this, LS MnM plans to establish a technical center in the United States for technical support and to secure a market entry base.
If entry into the U.S. market becomes a reality, LS MnM also aims to supply next-generation products demanded by local solar panel companies and achieve sales within the United States. In the long term, the company plans to establish production facilities for silver powder and silver paste in the United States to expand its market share.
