[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] On the 8th, Samkee America, jointly invested by Samkee and Samkee E.V. (with a 100% stake), announced that it has been selected as a supplier for two types of motor housings for electric vehicles at Hyundai Motor's Georgia plant in Severance.
According to the bid notification from Hyundai Motor, the subsidiary Samkee America, jointly owned by Samkee and Samkee E.V., will mass-produce and supply the motor housings to the Hyundai Motor plant in Severance, Georgia, USA.
The delivery is scheduled to start from July 2026, with a indicated supply period until 2034, totaling 9 years. The order size for the two types is approximately 2.54 million dollars when converted into Korean won, which is about 280 billion won.
Currently, Samkee America is recognized as the only die-casting company in the United States capable of producing components for secondary batteries, electric vehicles, and internal combustion engines. It is expected that the company will continue to expand its supply volume not only through new orders but also through the localization strategy of complete vehicles.
