[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] SK Leaveo, a joint venture between SKC and Daelim, is constructing the world's largest biodegradable material (PBAT) production plant in Vietnam. On the 11th, SK Leaveo held a groundbreaking ceremony for the PBAT production plant in the Haiphong Economic Zone, Vietnam. The first phase of SK Revo's Vietnam PBAT production facility, with an investment of approximately $100 million (about 1.372 trillion won), will have a floor area of ​​22,389 square meters.

With a single plant, it is expected to have an annual production capacity of 70,000 tons, making it the largest in the world. The target is to begin mass production by the third quarter of 2025.

SK Leaveo has also secured additional land for possible expansion in the future and is currently considering the timing for further expansion.
