[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] NCSoft to Establish Two New Subsidiaries through Spin-off of QA Service and Application Software Development Units

On the 24th, NCSoft held an extraordinary board meeting where it decided to spin off two business units and establish two new subsidiaries. This strategic move aims to establish a management system capable of quick and specialized decision-making for each business unit, enhancing core competencies.

NCSoft plans to focus its capabilities on specialized areas to achieve business sophistication and ultimately enhance corporate and shareholder value. The two new subsidiaries will be non-listed entities named NC QA Company (tentative name) and NC IDS Company (tentative name).

NC QA Company will specialize in Quality Assurance (QA) services, ensuring the quality and reliability of NCSoft’s products. NC IDS Company will focus on the development and supply of application software, driving innovation and technological advancement.

An extraordinary general meeting of shareholders will be held on August 14 to finalize the spin-off and establishment of the new subsidiaries. The official date of the spin-off is set for October 1.
