[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Kakao has decided to discontinue its AI profile service 'Karlo' after just 7 months since its launch in November last year.
The service, introduced by Kakao Brain, allowed users to create various concept photos for their profiles using just one image.
According to an announcement on its official channel on the 24th, Kakao stated that new creations and payments for AI profiles will cease on the 24th of next month at 10 a.m., with the service scheduled to officially end by the end of July next year. Users will be able to store and view their created AI profiles for up to one year based on their creation date in the 'Profile History' menu.
This decision appears to be part of Kakao's strategic adjustment regarding its AI profile services.
