Netmarble Reports Record Revenue and Returns to Profit in Q2

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] On August 8, Netmarble announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2024, reporting a record revenue of 782.1 billion won and an operating profit of 111.2 billion won.
The revenue marks a 29.6% increase compared to the same period last year, making it the highest quarterly revenue in the company's history. Netmarble has achieved positive operating profits for three consecutive quarters, reflecting a successful turnaround from previous losses.
International sales amounted to 590.6 billion won, accounting for 76% of total revenue. While this represents a 7.3 percentage point decrease compared to the previous quarter, it remains the highest quarterly international revenue ever recorded by Netmarble. The regional revenue breakdown includes North America at 40%, South Korea at 24%, Europe at 13%, Southeast Asia at 10%, and Japan at 6%, indicating a well-diversified global portfolio.
