[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Socar said the re-election of CEO Park and Kang Sang-woo, president of Central Group, as outside directors was passed at its regular shareholders' meeting and board meeting held on the 28th.
Park's term is until March 2027. CEO Park will lead the implementation of the "Socar 2.0" strategy that maximizes the LTV of customers and vehicles by combining public transportation, accommodation and micro-mobility services with car-sharing customers. "We will continue to do our best to become a Socar that can give greater value to stakeholders and shareholders with an integrated mobility platform centered on users," CEO Park said.
Socar has formed a committee centered on outside directors to build independent and transparent board governance. Three of the nine board members were made up of women.
