[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] SEOUL, August 11 — Hanssem Co., Ltd., a KOSPI-listed home furnishing and remodeling company, announced that its consolidated operating profit for the second quarter of 2024 was KRW 2.3 billion, down 68.2% from the same period last year, according to a preliminary earnings report.
Revenue for the quarter declined 3.9% year-on-year to KRW 459.4 billion, while net income jumped 137.5% to KRW 32.2 billion. The company has posted a net profit for nine consecutive quarters since Q2 2023, maintaining what it describes as a stable management trajectory.
Hanssem attributed the results to strengthened competitiveness in its core business areas — including remodeling, premium furniture, and online sales channels — with a focus on B2C operations.
The company’s remodeling division, “Rehaus,” continued to grow compared to last year. Hanssem recently launched a new product line for its premium kitchen brand “Kitchenbach” for the first time in four years, as part of a rebranding strategy aimed at the high-end market. Earlier this month, it also rolled out two new models in its “Euro Kitchen” series.
In the home furnishing division, the company credited its optimized online distribution strategy for improved performance in e-commerce sales.
