[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] SK E&S is reportedly considering selling the headquarters building and land of its city gas subsidiary, Coway Energy Service, located in Daechi-dong, Gangnam, Seoul. The potential sale is seen as a move to secure funding for new business investments.
According to industry sources on the 12th, the land area of Coway Energy Service’s headquarters covers 49,109 square meters, with an estimated valuation ranging between 400 billion and 500 billion KRW.
The site is part of Seoul’s redevelopment plan for the Tancheon Confluence Area, a project that has been under review for more than 15 years. SK E&S has also been considering how to utilize this site in line with the city’s development plans.
One potential buyer being discussed is Gangnam Severance Hospital. However, SK E&S clarified that "no decision or agreement has been made regarding the sale of the site at this time."
