[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] Brian Kemp, the Governor of Georgia, met with top executives from Hyundai, Kia, and LG during his visit to South Korea on the 17th to discuss future business collaboration.
Governor Kemp hosted the "Georgia Night" event at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, where he expressed gratitude for the investments made by Korean companies in Georgia and encouraged further cooperation.
The event was attended by numerous executives from the Hyundai Motor Group, including Jae-Hoon Chang, President of Hyundai Motor Company; Ho-Sung Song, President of Kia; José Muñoz, Hyundai Motor Global Chief Operating Officer; Lee Kyu-seok, President of Hyundai Mobis; Seo Kang-hyun, President of Hyundai Steel; and Yeosu-dong, President of Hyundai Transys. Representatives from LG, including Dong-Myung Kim, President of LG Energy Solution, as well as executives from Hanwha Q Cells, SKC, SK On, and CJ Foodville, were also present.
In his welcoming speech, Governor Kemp stated, "Korean companies have experienced firsthand that Georgia is a great place to invest, which translates to opportunities for Georgia’s residents and communities. We are sincerely grateful for these investments." He further added, "Korean companies have integrated into our communities and continuously elevated Georgia to new heights. We look forward to strengthening our ongoing cooperation with Korean enterprises."
