Naver News to End 'Issue Timeline' Feature After 5 Years of Operation

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Naver (NAVER) has announced that it will discontinue the 'Issue Timeline' feature in its news service effective on the 31st.
According to the IT industry on the 20th, Naver posted this notice on its website on the 17th.
The Issue Timeline was launched in August 2019 and automatically created article collection pages based on AI detection when specific issues persisted over time.
Regarding the discontinuation, Naver stated, "We aim to enhance service satisfaction by providing an issue service curated directly by journalists, rather than relying on AI-generated articles."
