IMM Private Equity Exits Woori Financial Stake After 9 Years, Achieving 2.4x Return

[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] IMM Private Equity (IMM PE), a major domestic private equity firm, has fully divested its stake in Woori Financial Group through three separate transactions in late 2023 and early 2024.
After purchasing shares in Woori Financial Group in 2016, IMM PE has now completed its investment after nine years, realizing a 2.4 times return on its original investment.
According to the investment banking (IB) industry on Monday, IMM PE sold 1.38% of its common shares in Woori Financial Group in a block deal (off-market large-volume transaction) on the 9th, at a price of 16,218 KRW per share, raising a total of 166.4 billion KRW.
