Zeekr intends to establish showrooms in Tokyo and the Kansai region by the end of this year and is starting the necessary procedures to meet Japanese safety standards for new car releases.
Initially, Zeekr will introduce the 'X' SUV and the '009' MPV in Japan. These models are already available in Hong Kong and Thailand, featuring right-hand drive configurations.
In China, the starting prices for the X and 009 are 200,000 yuan (approximately 3.82 million yen) and 439,000 yuan (approximately 8.38 million yen), respectively.
Zeekr reported a 90% increase in sales from January to July this year compared to the same period last year, reaching approximately 100,000 units. The brand is gaining popularity in China for its high-performance luxury electric vehicles.
