Hanwha Aerospace to Invest KRW 11 Trillion in European and Global Defense Expansion, Including KRW 6.3 Trillion in Poland

[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Hanwha Aerospace announced on Monday its plan to invest KRW 11 trillion in the mid-to-long term, including KRW 6.3 trillion to establish a European production base in Poland and other locations.
The company will raise KRW 3.6 trillion through a rights offering, while the remaining KRW 7.4 trillion will be secured through future earnings and loans from financial institutions.
Specifically, Hanwha Aerospace plans to allocate:
KRW 6.3 trillion for securing European production hubs, including in Poland, and establishing joint venture plants in the Middle East.
KRW 1.6 trillion for research and development (R&D) to advance defense technologies and gain a competitive edge in the market.
KRW 2.3 trillion for building ground defense infrastructure and smart factories.
KRW 1 trillion for internalizing aerospace defense technology.
