[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Apple plans to release a new iPad in early May, Bloomberg reported on the 28th (local time).

Citing sources, the news agency said Apple is preparing to release better versions of "iPad Pro" and "iPad Air." The pro model will be equipped with a clearer OLED display and M3 chip, and will be compatible with the new design of the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil.

The Air model will also be equipped with a new processor. It is also expected to add a 12.9-inch screen option for the first time so that consumers can purchase a large-screen iPad at a lower price than the Pro.

Apple originally planned to release a new product later this month or early next month, but it is taking more time to complete the software, the news agency said. The news agency predicted that the new product will be released a month before Apple's global developer conference scheduled for June 10. Apple did not respond to requests for comment on the launch of the new iPad.
