[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Lee Jae-Yong, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, and Chey Tae-Won, Chairman of SK Group, attended Google's exclusive "Billionaires Camp" in Sicily, Italy. They are reported to be the only Korean business leaders invited to this event.

According to industry sources on the 29th, Lee Jae-Yong, who left for Paris on the 24th to attend to the 2024 Paris Olympics, moved to Sicily on the 28th to participate in the camp, which runs from the 29th for two nights and three days. Google has been hosting the camp annually at the Verdura Golf Resort in southern Sicily since 2012. The guest list and details of the event, led by Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, are kept confidential, with all attendees required to sign non-disclosure agreements.

Lee Jae-Yong has been attending the camp since its early years but missed several years due to legal issues. He has attended consecutively since 2022. Chey Tae-Won also traveled to Sicily on the 27th to attend the camp, marking his first participation. He is the second Korean business leader invited after Lee Jae-Yong.
