[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Police are conducting a raid on KG Mobility on the 19th, which is suspected of embezzlement by its CEO and executives and employees.
KG Mobility said, "It happened before the corporate rehabilitation process," and explained, "This is what happened when I served as an executive of Ssangyong Motor Company from 2016 to 2018, not the current CEO of KG Mobility."
"It started at the 'individual' level, not the company," KG Mobility said. "The case and KG Mobility are irrelevant because debt relations have been completely settled during the corporate rehabilitation process."
The anti-corruption investigation unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency believes that KG Mobility CEO Chung and executives and employees have committed business embezzlement and is securing related data. So far, four executives and employees, including CEO Chung, are under investigation.
KG Mobility emphasized, "We will sincerely cooperate with the police investigation."
