[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] SPC Group announced that it has convened its CEO council, the “SPC Committee,” and decided to limit night shifts for production workers to a maximum of eight hours.

The company stated it will reduce factory operating hours by eliminating night production for all but essential products, aiming to minimize overnight work wherever possible.

SPC Group also plans to gradually shorten daytime working hours to prevent fatigue accumulation, loss of concentration, and workplace accidents caused by extended shifts.

This decision follows concerns raised during an on-site meeting on July 25 at SPC Samlip’s Siheung plant, presided over by President Lee Jae-myung, where issues surrounding night work and labor intensity were discussed.
