[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Celltrion announced on Wednesday that it has decided to fully cancel approximately KRW 50 billion worth of treasury shares it resolved to acquire last month. The company will retire all 268,385 shares purchased since February 24, with the cancellation set to be completed by March 18.
Last month, on February 14, Celltrion decided to cancel 1,101,379 treasury shares worth approximately KRW 204.9 billion and has since completed the process. So far this year, the company has acquired around KRW 250 billion worth of treasury shares and has resolved to cancel approximately KRW 800 billion worth.
In 2023, Celltrion also repurchased approximately KRW 436 billion worth of treasury shares and completed the cancellation of over KRW 700 billion worth.
Looking ahead, Celltrion aims to achieve an average shareholder return ratio of 40% relative to its consolidated net income over the next three years, through 2027.
