[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Chey Tae-won, Chairman of SK Group, applied for a divorce confirmation certificate with Noh Soo-young, Director of the Nabi Art Center, but the court did not accept the request.
According to legal sources on the 2nd, Chey's legal representatives applied for the confirmation certificate to the Seoul High Court's Family Court Division 2 (Presiding Judge Kim Si-cheol) on June 21st, following the divorce lawsuit trial.
The confirmation certificate is a request for proof of final judgment.
It appears that the application was made to confirm the divorce judgment with Noh, seeking only confirmation of the divorce.
However, the court did not accept Chey's application.
Previously, on June 30th, the Seoul High Court's Family Court Division 2 ruled in the divorce case between Chey and Noh, ordering Chey to pay Noh 1.38 trillion won in property division and 20 billion won in alimony.
Chey appealed the appellate court's decision on June 20th by filing a petition for a retrial.
