[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] The Fair Trade Commission (FTC) has launched an investigation into allegations of unfair practices by Domino’s Pizza against its franchise owners.

According to industry sources on the 26th, the FTC sent investigators to Domino’s headquarters in Gangnam, Seoul, to collect promotional and contract-related documents.

The investigation focuses on accusations that Domino’s Pizza conducted promotional campaigns without prior consent from franchisees and shifted part of the associated costs onto them.

An FTC representative stated, "We cannot comment on matters under investigation," but added that any confirmed violations of the law would be met with strict measures.
