[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Tous Les Jours, a bakery franchise operated by CJ Foodville, will increase the prices of its bread and cake products starting March 1.

According to sources in the food industry on Tuesday, Tous Les Jours will raise the prices of 110 products by an average of 5%. For example, the price of Daily Milk Bread will rise from 3,500 to 3,600 KRW, Red Bean Bread from 1,800 to 1,900 KRW, and Autumn Sausage Bread from 2,600 to 2,700 KRW, each increasing by 100 KRW. The Sweet Potato Latte Cake will see a 1,000 KRW increase, going from 30,000 to 31,000 KRW.

Paris Baguette also raised prices on 96 types of bread and 25 types of cakes by an average of 5.9% starting February 10. Among their bread products, items like the Regular Toast and Soboro Bread saw a 100 KRW price increase, identical to Tous Les Jours. The Strawberry Blossom Cake was raised from 19,000 to 19,900 KRW.

This marks the first major price hike for both Tous Les Jours and Paris Baguette in nearly two years, following price increases in February and April of 2023. Both companies explained that the price hikes are unavoidable due to rising costs of key ingredients and various operational expenses. They also mentioned that maintaining prices at their previous levels had become unsustainable since 2023.
