[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] LG Electronics has invested in Mo-Sys Engineering, a UK-based company specializing in virtual production camera solutions. This strategic investment aims to enhance LG’s capabilities in the virtual production and broadcasting technology sectors.
By combining LG's large-scale LED displays and controllers with Mo-Sys’ products and systems, the company plans to offer extended reality (XR) solutions to clients involved in virtual production and broadcast. With growing interest in virtual production studios, LG expects to provide solutions to companies looking to produce related content.
An LG Electronics representative stated, “This investment and partnership will merge LG's display technology with Mo-Sys' expertise in virtual production solutions, further strengthening our position as a provider of B2B solutions and innovative experiences.”
LG Electronics will showcase its virtual production solutions at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam, from September 13 to 16.
