[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] GS Engineering & Construction (GS E&C) has secured consecutive large-scale redevelopment projects in Seoul, signaling its strong presence in the city’s redevelopment sector.
On November 4, GS E&C announced it was selected as the contractor for the "Machun 3 Redevelopment Project" in Machun-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul. This project includes constructing 20 buildings, ranging from 4 basement levels to 25 stories above ground, providing a total of 2,321 residential units and related facilities. The estimated project cost is 1.0142 trillion KRW, accounting for approximately 7.55% of GS E&C's consolidated revenue from last year. The construction is expected to take 42 months from the actual start date.
In addition to this, GS E&C disclosed that it has also been awarded the Gajaeul 7 Housing Redevelopment Project in Bukgajwa-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. This project will involve the construction of 1,407 residential units, with an estimated project cost of 368.3 billion KRW.
