[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said on June 6 that a chocolate snack sold by convenience store chain Emart24 is being recalled and removed from sale after failing to disclose an allergen ingredient.
The product, “Krista Choco Ppong” (processed chocolate product), was manufactured by A-One Food, a food processing company based in Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province, and distributed by Emart24.
Authorities found that the product contains wheat—an allergen that must be declared—but the ingredient was not listed on the label.
The recall applies to products with expiration dates of Dec. 2, 2026 or Dec. 3, 2026, with a total of 28,670 units subject to recall.
The food safety agency said Gimhae City authorities have been instructed to carry out a prompt recall, urging consumers who purchased the product not to consume it and return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
