[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Jung Ki-sun, Vice Chairman of HD Hyundai, has been promoted to Senior Vice Chairman, solidifying the company’s third-generation owner management structure. Just a year after his promotion to Vice Chairman, this latest move is seen as strengthening his leadership role within HD Hyundai.
On the 14th, HD Hyundai announced its 2024 executive appointments, highlighting key personnel changes. Notably, Cho Seok, who led the performance improvement at HD Hyundai Electric, was promoted to Vice Chairman, becoming the only Vice Chairman among the group’s affiliates.
In the shipbuilding division, Kim Jae-eul, Vice President of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries’ Shipbuilding Division, has been named President and is set to become the CEO of HD Hyundai Samho Shipbuilding. Meanwhile, Song Myung-jun, Vice President of HD Hyundai’s Finance and Support Division, will be promoted to President and CEO of HD Hyundai Oilbank. Additionally, Kim Young-ki, Vice President of HD Hyundai Electric, has been promoted to President and will assume the role of CEO at the company. These executives are expected to be formally appointed as CEOs following shareholder meetings and board approvals.
