[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Daum, the portal service, will undergo a comprehensive redesign, with significant changes to both its logo and content layout for the first time in 9 years. The previous brand identity (BI), featuring four colors, will be unified into a single deep blue logo, and the app's overall structure, including the bottom tab, will be completely revamped.
Kakao, the parent company, announced the full revamp of the Daum app on Monday, aiming to strengthen its position as a comprehensive content platform by enhancing user accessibility to its diverse media, community, and shopping services. The update will be rolled out gradually from today until the 19th.
The new app design will feature tabs at the bottom that provide personalized content and easy access to services like Home, Content, Community, and Shopping, improving overall user convenience.
Additionally, Daum plans to enhance AI-based personalized services and introduce a new "Short-form" tab at the bottom as part of ongoing updates to optimize the app for users.
Alongside this overhaul, Daum will introduce a new BI, shifting from its four existing colors to a single deep blue logo, symbolizing the unification of diverse content and user perspectives.
