[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] On Monday, steel products were stacked at Pyeongtaek Port in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, as the 25% tariff on steel and aluminum products, announced by the U.S. Donald Trump administration, is set to be enforced from 12:00 AM (Eastern Standard Time) on the 12th.

This will be the first case where tariffs, imposed under the second term of the Trump administration, directly affect products from South Korea.

On the 9th (local time), U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Rutnik confirmed that the 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum will begin as scheduled on the 12th.
