[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] Apple's smartphone sales in China plunged in the first quarter due to Huawei's popularity, the report showed.

According to the Market Watch on the 23rd (local time), Apple's iPhone sales in China fell 19% year-on-year.

It ranked third overall after Vivo and Honor.

Sales of No. 4 seller Huawei, which had limited access to high-end chips a year ago, rose 70% year-on-year thanks to the successful launch of the 5G-enabled Mate 60 series.

Apple's iPhone sales accounted for more than half of the company's total sales in the October-December quarter, up about 6% year-on-year to $ 69.7 billion.
