WEMAKEPRICE

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] The delay in payments for sellers on TMON and WEMAKEPRICE, both affiliated with the Singapore-based e-commerce company Qoo10, is causing significant problems for both sellers and consumers. With the holiday season approaching, travel agencies have stopped selling products through these platforms, leading to cancellations of existing reservations for consumers and increasing their anxiety.

As of the 23rd, consumers who booked accommodations and airline tickets through TMON and WEMAKEPRICE are experiencing unilateral cancellations from travel agencies. This is because sellers who have not yet received their payments or are concerned about payment issues are either halting sales or withdrawing products already sold.

The payment delay crisis, which began on WEMAKEPRICE on the 8th of this month, has spread to TMON. This situation has prompted major travel agencies and large retail companies to suspend product sales on these platforms. According to industry sources, prominent travel agencies such as Hana Tour, Modu Tour, and Yellow Balloon, as well as major retailers including Lotte Shopping, Hyundai Department Store, Shinsegae, and GS Retail, have temporarily halted their product sales on TMON and WEMAKEPRICE.
